Basic Dry Needling for Pain Management
CN1
This course is a 2 Day introductory course to utilize Dry Needling in clinical practice and is open to ONLY Chiropracticors.
The course will begin by reviewing the origins of the technique, a literature review for its efficacy, safety, and protocols for the vast majority of conditions we treat.
You’ll be able to treat Neck Pain, Back Pain, Shoulder Pain and More whether you have 10 minutes to spend with each patient or an entire hour. These techniques are scalable depending on the desired result.
Advanced Dry Needling for Pain Management
CN2
After completing CN-1, you will find that just like your palpation skills, your new skills of detecting needle depth and position will have developed into an art of their own.
If you’re like many Dry Needlers, you’ll be so inspired by the results of the techniques you’ve learned in CN1, that there will be other body regions and conditions you’ll want explore. With new skill and confidence our Advanced Dry Needling for Pain Management class will delve into the body regions which require more considerations when it comes to safety and accuracy including the Thoracic Spine and TMJ.
We’ll also go beyond Trigger Points and address Peri-Neural Needling as well as Periosteal Techniques.
We'll include condition-specific protocols that integrate these techniques with adjusting and rehabilitation.
Lastly, we'll discuss cases from our own patients we've treated with Dry Needling; learning from our unique collective experiences as Dry Needling Chiropractors.
Why Choose ChiroNeedle?
There are a lot of Dry Needling courses out there taught from a PT perspective…and they’re great!…if you’re a Physical Therapist.
After spending years in these courses I realized something. Every time I went back to my office, I had to change what I had learned in order to accommodate my Chiropractic approach.
PT Clinics and Chiropractic Clinics are vastly different. PT’s have a lot more time to spend with each patient. Chiropractors have to be efficient in their ability to Assess, Treat, and Re-Assess the patient.
Our Dry Needling protocols are based on a conservative approach in order to quickly Assess, Choose the Appropriate Treatment based on physiological principals, and achieve the Desired Outcome quickly.
You can be an extremely effective practitioner by simply combing the right Needle Application, the right Adjustment and the right Exercise at the Right Time.
You can Adjust!!! You focus on the Spine!!!
There may be no more effective and efficient way to address the vast majority of musculoskeletal pain than the combination of Dry Needling, and Adjustment and Therapeutic Exercise.
No one Adjusts like we can, and with addition of needling techniques and a little rehab knowledge, you become specialized in the physical medicine space.
The future of physical medicine and chiropractic is to provide relief that’s Fast, Effective and Low Cost. Providing non-drug pain relief that checks all of these boxes meets the growing demand for a population on the go who don’t even want to leave their cars to get groceries.
The evidence is clear that a multidisciplinary approach to musculoskeletal pain is more effective than one provider at a time. The patient could go to a chiropractor for the adjustments, a PT for the rehab and a pain management specialist for injections. Or, they could go to a ChiroNeedler who can provide the Rehab, the Needling and Rehab all in one visit!
Today, convenience is key and people want results fast. You could be that for a lot more patients with a lot of different conditions.
Most PT Dry Needling Courses require 2, 20+ hour courses. One typically includes the Cervical Spine, and another one for the Lumbo-Pelvic. You’re a Chiropractor.
You’re going to need to be able to address the whole axial skeleton on Monday morning! That’s why we include the Cervical and Lumbar Spine in our introductory CN-1 class with some Thoracic Spine as well. In fact, we address Shoulder, Elbow, Hip and Knee as well. After CN-1, you’ll have a way to address 90% of what walks into any Chiropractic Clinic.
What happens if your staff accidentally gets stuck with a needle? DC’s typically own their own clinic. This means you need to know your responsibility to your patients, your staff and your self when it comes to Blood Borne Pathogens. We review OSHA/CDC guidelines and plans for what you need to do to mitigate the inherent risk of introducing Dry Needling into your practice.
This isn’t a class taught by an Acupuncturist who “also” does Dry Needling or a DPT who has an hour to spend with each patient and a 3rd party responsible for the patient’s care. ChiroNeedle is Dry Needling training for Doctors who have to make every minute with every patient count!
